The Phelps Mansion Museum is located in the heart of downtown Binghamton and has been open to the public as a 501c3 nonprofit museum since 2005. Formerly the home of the entrepreneur and Binghamton Mayor Sherman David Phelps, today the Phelps Mansion is a humanities-hub that provides weekly house tours and arts programming. Its mission is to utilize and preserve its unique facility and collections to serve the public by emphasizing local history, education, literature, art, and music.
